State of Emergency

–CHARLOTTE, N.C. –Flash floods in North Carolina have led to a state of emergency. Eight inches of rain have pushed hundreds out of their residences. North Carolinians are facing the uphill battle of getting the water out of their homes as quickly as possible in an attempt to prevent mold and other issues. Soaked sheetrock will have to go, and beyond that, the standing water may leave other damage.

Mecklenburg County Emergency Management offers Flood Insurance Assistance Flood safety tips and advice on returning home after the flood. Red Cross, Fema and local agencies are on hand as the expenses mount.
