Stetson Town Office Closed for Mold

Stetson Fire Department and town library are now playing host to town clerks, code enforcement and the assessor after testing confirmed toxic mold in the the Stetson town office.

“Unguaranteed” remediation quotes were around $120,000”

The remediator sprayed the carpet, and cut out the visible moldy wall running along three walls. The cost of renting air exchange machines limited their use to two weeks.

Short of gutting the whole building, there’s still mold inside.

A seven person committee is looking into getting funding to deal with the problem.
