Common sense Reasons to Go Pro

Of course some remediation firms discourage you from getting a professional mold assessment. They say you don’t need it. They say you can do it all yourself. Maybe you’re a great “do-it-yourselfer” or have construction expertise. But for most people, that doesn’t hold true. Consider this:

  • A crooked remediation firm doesn’t want you to know the before and after.
  • A crooked reonovation firm will say you have mold when you don’t.
  • A crooked renovation firm will say you have mold in a location where you don’t.
  • A crooked renovation form will tell you you need invasive procedures when a bleach rinse will do on hard surfaces.
  • Certainly not all renovation firms are crooked! But we’ve run into some bad ones. Everyone has seen the hidden camera recordings where these guys are called in to make estimates, see black spray paint (in one case they used eye makeup) and they end up estimating thousands of dollars in jobs that would really be tearing down perfectly good drywall.

Sometimes it makes sense to hire experts just to make sure someone doesn’t take advantage of you. Common sense is not so common, sometimes.

If you’re in California, you might want to give us a call and see about getting an assessment from Byebyemold.
