June 29, 2011–The former 11,500-square-foot Mechanic Street post office building has undergone multiple renovations. Brant OPP who has had the building since 2000, and has suffered through toxic mold in the basement, flooding and other issues. Basement storage relies on 24 hour humidifiers and elevated plastic storage units. Options for the department are being discussed, including building or renting alternative locations.
