Mold Still A Tenant, Two Months After the Flood

The village of SARANAC LAKE area suffered floods in April, even with the Lake Flower Dam working to control it, especially when water levels rose two feet above the spillway. Shoreline homes, businesses and parking lots along the Saranac River were evacuated, and stood underwater, although the water never surged down the river, but the level rose slowly.

Early estimates of the damage were up to five million.

Homes and businesses that were flooded then, and did not or could not immediately handle the situation are now inundated by mold, and face spending thousands in removal and rebuilding costs.
