Aspergillus mold was discovered in Seattle Children’s Hospital. The hospital has been closed while it is air handling utilities are inspected. A professional hygienist has been called in to help the hospital bring the air handling unit up to speed. This is a reoccurring situation at Seattle Children’s Hospital, but hopefully this time around, the cleanup will not only clean up the air handling unit, but also the rest of the hospital so the problem does not keep cycling.
